    Make sure your Vigil has been updated for these service bulletins below, if your unit is affected. These were bulletins with deadlines in 2019 and 2020.

  2. Vigil II & 2+ PSB-01-2018 Service Bulletin

    Advanced Aerospace Designs released a new service bulletin on April 19, 2018, for all sport versions of the Vigil II and 2+ with firmware versions 05.05, 05.05, 06.01 and 06.02.

    This does not affect any of the current model Vigil Cuatro or Military Vigil units.

    According to the bulletin, the affected units will enter a CTRL-ERR mode if the air pressure is less than 300 hPa, which is at approximately 30,000 feet.

  3. Vigil PSB 01-2015 Affects 1900+ Units

    Advanced Aerospace Designs, manufacturer of the Vigil AAD, sent out a new Product Service Bulletin today that affects more than 1900 Vigil AAD units with cutters manufactured this year.

    The PSB is a mandatory cutter inspection requiring each cutter to be sent back to Vigil America or AAD. The inspection is due to a severed closing loop due to rough edges inside a Vigil cutter. The manufacturer will be inspecting each of these cutters for sharp or rough edges for repair or replacement, and then return to each skydiver.

  4. Vigil II Service Bulletin PSB-5 Affects Cutters

    AAD, the manufacturer of Vigil II, has released a Product Service Bulletin that affects all Type 3 cutters manufactured in December 2007. This affects 199 Vigil cutters manufactured during that month, according to AAD.

    The cutters are to be replaced during the next scheduled inspection/repack.

  6. CYPRES2 C2 0113 Service Bulletin Update

    July 2013 CYPRES2 Service Bulletin. IMPORTANT Follow-Up to CYPRES 2 Service Bulletin C2 0113 – Additional included serial numbers and other important information. In a follow-up to Service Bulletin C2 0113, beginning this month (July 2013), Airtec GmbH & Co. KG and SSK Industries, Inc. are accepting CYPRES units affected by the Service Bulletin for premature updates. In order to proceed in an orderly manner and to not create a backlog, which would delay the return of your CYPRES, only units which were manufactured from September 2012 to December 2012 are being accepted at this time.   7. NEOS Hard Openings Addressed by Icarus Canopies

    Icarus Canopies has issued a Service Bulletin to address hard openings of its unique NEOS canopy. The NEOS is a high-performance canopy that is partially cross-braced in the center of the parachute.

    Reports of hard openings were verified by Icarus, and after a test program, the company found adjusting the line trim on the C1 lines solved the issue.

  8. SkySystems Quick Release Service Bulletin

    SkySystems USA has released a Service Bulletin on its Quick Release handle. The Quick Release is a cutaway system for chincups and the Vapor Narrow and Vapor Wes Pro helmets. According to the service bulletin, the company found a weakness in the handles manufactured from January 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010. Those with affected handles can return them to SkySystems for a new replacement handle at no charge. Continue reading
  9. Argus Cutter Service Bulletin Revised

    Aviacom has issued a revised service bulletin for a mandatory replacement of all Argus cutters manufactured August 2007 and earlier. The bulletin says the cutter is to be replaced "at the next repack but no later than 31 December 2010." Previously the service bulletin said the cutter had to be replace before the next jump, the company said that wording was in error and released the revision. Continue reading
