ColorAlti G2 LED Audible Skydiving Altimeter.
Now made in an anodized aluminum case, includes audible alarms and features the FDS Logbook!
Freefall Data Systems took the idea of peripheral vision altitude awareness and started from scratch, developing an extremely flexible, user-friendly altimeter that enables you to gauge your altitude based on the color of a light in your peripheral vision as well as including audible alarm sounds.
This newest version includes a one-year subscription to FDS Logbook! After the 1st year, the FDS Logbook app is currently $20 per year.
Available in 4 different LED light configurations!
StickyLight 2A
- StickyLight 2A is an adhesive circuit board with 3 LEDs that mounts to your skydiving helmet's visor. It was conceived to be the most minimally invasive StickyLight ever produced, with wires measuring only 2 millimeters thick in most places of peripheral vision. It contains three individually addressable LEDs that protrude like tear drops from above the jumper's right eye. The integrated clip can be used to provide additional strain relief to the cable and keep it in place. Fits almost any closed-face helmet.
StickyLight 2B
- For those who want a bit more light coverage, these StickyLights contain 10 LEDs that extend on a stem above the jumper's right eye. StickyLight 2B also has a very minimal footprint for the light coverage it provides thanks to its sleek design. The integrated clip can be used to provide additional strain relief to the cable as well as keep it in place. Fits almost any closed-face helmet.
FlexiLight 2
- These flexible gooseneck lights can be bent into shape and keep their form once installed. They utilize the same proven rigid construction of the original FlexiLight from ColorAlti®, but have four individually addressable LEDs instead of one single RGB LED. These lights can be used for both open- and closed-face helmets.
RigidLight
- RigidLight is another type of visor-based light with a minimal footprint that contains 10 LEDs. Unlike StickyLights, these lights contain a rigid circuit board mounted with screws and nuts that can be removed and mounted on other visors once the visor needs to be replaced. This option requires drilling into the visor.

Awesome device for altitude awarenessJust finished setting up my color alti 2 and must say the quality of the build and the ease of use in the app is amazing. I was very surprised at the amount of choices for audio alarms and light settings.

After a freaky Friday my instructor recommended an audible altimeterAmazing! Audible altimeter says it all. Now the real magic is in the visual aspects as well! “Color” and “lights” and “sound”
It is so cool to create your own flight simulation from take off to exiting the plane to landing safely back at the drop zone. I choose the stickylight 2b with my alti. I have it set up like a meter but, the meter is in rainbow. As I exit the plane it is dominantly blue and as I descend it goes through the colors ending with all lights red by the time my pull altitude comes. Just one example! I have settings for break away and tracking also reminders to check my gear on the way up. So many ways to use the light and color along with the sound!!! Not to mention It feels futuristically cool!!! So happy with this suggestion from my instructor! ColorAlti2 is worth every life saving penny!Posted on

ImpressiveI bought FDS ColorAlti to replace my 20-year-old Audible. My hearing isn't what it used to be. I like the option of volume settings for the alarms along with the visual alerts.
The unit is robust and smaller than my older audible. Fits well in my Cookie G4. I chose the 10LED light bar for the face shield. I did find on FDS website they have a 10 LED light bar that screws into the face shield for ease of replacing with a new face shield without the need to buy a new LED light bar. The light bar is bright and is dimmable to your needs.
I highly recommend the Color Alti 2 to anyone wanting both sound with visual awareness. Love all the options it has for setting up the alerts and alarms. Freefall, accent, and canopy modes. In canopy mode I will be using only the audible sounds. I normally have my face shield up during this time of my skydive.

Great Altitude Awareness Tool!I recently picked up the ColorAlti2 as a replacement for my SonoAlti. First, the base unit is a major upgrade from the original SonoAlti. The construction is much more sturdy and you dont have to worry about shutting off the Bluetooth switch to make the device work in the air anymore. The presets are also selectable via a button on the unit rather than only on the app. If you dont want to use the light for some reason or you are usimg a different helmet, the base unit functions as an audible without the light attachment.
This is my first time using an LED alti and it doesnt dissapoint! There are a ton of ways to customize the display. I have a countdown to my breakaway altitude leading to a countdown in a different color to my pull altitude. The StickyLight 2B is not noticeable in my line of sight so its not distracting. However, a slight glance upward provides me with an instant visual representation of how long I have left in freefall. To me this works better than a numerical altitude because I can see where I currently am vs where I need to take my next action. This might not seem significant, but it provides quite a bit of cognitive unloading. This is only one of the many ways the altitude data can be represented.
I dont find the canopy function useful because I open my visor under canopy and cant see it. However, the ascent function serves as a good functions check of the device.
The digital logbook function is great. I had a few issues early on (I guess I wasnone of the first people to log jumps with it), but the tech support was fantastic and I think they got all of the bugs worked out.
Im very happy with this device. Highly recommended.
