EPS Foam Provides Much Better Protection Than Non-Certified Version of This HelmetOverall this is a good beginner helmet for someone looking to save a few bucks. Unlike the non-certified version of this helmet, this helmet has EPS foam which is very important should you actually collide with an object at high speed. EPS foam absorbs energy to prevent serious head trauma. Helmets that do not have EPS foam do not have the same energy absorbing capacity as those with it.
The helmet has no adjustability options beyond the chin strap, so if it fits well out of the box, lucky you, if it doesn't then not so lucky. I used the size chart and found it fits me reasonably well. Overall, a good option if you want a cheap, certified (CPSC bike certified, there is no skydiving helmet certification) helmet. If you're going to get the Full Cut helmet, get this certified version and not the non-certified version which offers far less protection.Posted on
