The X-Shut is the new standard for professional mounting of video cameras and still camera.
This small, rock solid mount is the most versatile mounting system available. This X-Shut is made of a combination of Stainless Steel and Aluminum and includes the base and cross insert with camera screw for mounting a video or stills camera. This version is primarily used for top mount applications, but it can also be used to side mount cameras such as the Drift.
The screw-mount insert includes an integrated camera screw and four adjustable prongs to lock the camera into position and prevent rotational movement. This version of the X-Shut can be mounted to any flat surface.

Awesome camera mount for things not GoProI use this mount for all my screw mount cameras. Sony Action Cams, Still Cameras, Handycams this screw mount works for them all! Solid mount, convenient to mount and dismount cameras.

Great for still cameras!Couldn't use the integration kit for this because I needed the extra height for spacing between my still camera and GoPro. Picked up some screws for less than $1 at the hardware store, mounted it on top of my helmet and it's been rock solid for years. Tiny amount of wiggle between the base and insert hasn't affected photo quality, and the release mechanism functions the same as the day I installed it.
