This replacement lens is suitable for the standard FT50 altimeter from Viplo.
ChutingStar mostly sells the FT50/FT60 combo altimeter, which is the FT50 internal altimeter in an FT60 casing (which has this screw-in lens). If you do have a standard FT50 altimeter, this lens will fit it. The lens is for the standard FT50 altimeter/casing pops in from the inside of the altimeter and does not screw in.
Another way to tell if you have an FT50 vs FT60 altimeter casing is by the lens itself. If your lens is flat and flush with the altimeter casing, it is an FT60 Lens. If you lens is raised and rounded from the altimeter casing, you have an FT50 casing.
This is a clear lens. To install, you will need to take off the back plate to remove the altimeter from the inside, pop out the old lens to remove and install the new lens. Then put the altimeter and back plate back together before use.
Note: Viplo is changing production to 100% of the FT50 version with the lens that is secured from the inside and has a slight curve to it. As of March 2026, all Black Viplo altimeters from ChutingStar are the FT50 version, while all other colors remain the FT50/FT60 version with the FT60 case with flat screw-in lens.
