The Smart reserve combines more than 30 years of experience in the parachute industry!
The construction of the Smart uses high tensile strength 0-3 cfm low porosity ripstop fabric, spectra suspension lines and ample reinforcement tapes. Extra strength is obtained through the use of lateral reinforcement tapes between the line attachment points as well load distribution tapes that radiate from the steering line attachment points.
The Smart is certified under the US FAA TSO-C23d and the European ETSO-C23d.

Still unused, but happy with feature set and pack sizeThankfully, I've not yet needed to use my Smart Reserve.
I put together an all-Aerodyne rig recently, and including a Smart made it easy. Aerodyne's container/canopy sizing charts are really helpful, as is their staff. I was able to squeeze a Smart 175 LPV into a neXgen Icon I4 with room for a Pilot 168 ZPX. Even when I downsize later, I'm going to keep that Smart 175 in there. More fabric in an emergency means safer, easier landings, and more time to figure out how you're going to crash that backyard BBQ party you accidentally found a mile away from the drop zone.Posted on

Great ReserveI've landed under two smart reserves now (190 and 220) and had two great landings. This reserve was easy to fly and had a great flare, especially considering that it's "F111" fabric. It flew straight and level while I was kicking out of line twists, and got me back to the airport on a really long spot.

Totally a legit reserve...Extremely good reserve canopy. Super reliable, with more in its construction than any other reserve out there. I've owned a Smart 165 and 120 and had great experiences with both. I was a little worried about ever having to fly/land the 120 but after one ride on it I was actually ok with doing it again. Of course it doesn't have forward drive being a 7 cell and having porous fabric but I stood it up in moderate wind and was pleasantly surprised with the flare. Flare it early is my advice but obviously not flying it is even better.

Don't be stupid, get SmartGreat price, great reserve. The ONLY thing I'd prefer is if they came in an international/blaze orange, or a fuchsia, or something like that. If something were to happen (God forbid) and i was to land out and not be able to help myself back, it'd be real hard to find me in a Colorado winter when we have feet of snow on the ground. Great, smooth reserve, and my rigger doesn't cuss me out when its time for a repack!
