The top plates come in 4 different versions:
- Painted (13 available colors)
- Hydro Dipped (2 available color patterns)
- Nylon Skid, Black Only (tougher material for wind tunnel protection)
- Utility, Black only (includes cutaway system and black utility plate with base for mounting separately available Cookie roller mount)
All four options install in the same place as the original matching top plate that comes standard on a G35.
The painted plates are a solid color. Cookie has also partnered with Multicam to offer a range of camouflage in the Original Multicam and Multicam Black prints. The prints are applied to the exterior of the top plate using a hydro dipping process. Hydro dipping is the water-transfer printing process that results in varied pattern, finish, and placement upon helmet components. The finish of your Multicam top plate may differ from another top plate with the same pattern. Following the dipping process, the exterior of the top plate is then applied with a matte clear finish.
The nylon plate is tougher nylon material that will protect your helmet when flying in the wind tunnel.
The utility plate comes with a removable section for mounting the Cookie roller Mount as well as a cutaway system to use with the mount and helmet. There are 4 screws included with the utility plate. Use the 6 screws from your originally-installed top plate combined with 2 of the new screws. The 2 extras screws are in case you lose or damage any of the screws. The utility plate does not include the roller mount, which is available separately at ChutingStar.com.
