L&B has listened to skydivers across the globe and has answered the call with OPTIMA II™! The OPTIMA II™ is a more advanced audible altimeter with extremely accurate altitude detection.

Excellent audibleThis is great. It takes a little while to get use to navigating it, but once you get it it's crystal clear.
When I use it, I put one some ear plugs. Even the minimum volume is over 110 db which causes hearing damage over time.Posted on

Worth every pennyThis was one of the first pieces of gear I purchased after AFF. My coaches highly recommended an audible and L&B seems to be the leader. I love the options on the Optima. The climb alarms and multiple banks for free fall alarms are great. The slow speed alarms are also fantastic when you are still learning to fly a good landing pattern. My only complaint it the navigation is a little confusing at first, but there are plenty of videos online to help. Once it is setup it is very low maintenance.

Great productRecommended by my canopy coach, this audible is awesome overall. Battery is long-lasting, the beeps are very reliable. The freefall options were a game changer for tracking and the Low-speed became incredibly valuable when learning to swoop. The downside is that it would take some time to learn how to set everything up, and the instruction is a bit difficult to follow at first, but not a problem once you get it.

Great audibleI love this. I set it and basically forget it. Batteries last a long time. It is a little on the pricey side but it’s reliable.

Another good Product from Larsen & BrusgaardI had a ProTeack before this one. My old ProTrack is from 1999 and still working good so my experience with Larsen & Brusgaard products is very good. I bought the Optima for a replacement for my old ProTrack just I case. I guess it can't last forever but I keep it as a backup. Also I needed low speed altitude for swooping. The Optima is very good - exactly what I expected. The manual could be better though. Not so easy to understand and the menu is not that easy to navigate through either. But you will get used to it sooner or later after spending some time to figure it out

A MUST HAVE!!!Awesome unit! Has 3 different tone scenarios: 1) ascending; 2) freefall; 3) slow speed (canopy), each with up to 4 different altitudes. Tones are very loud and pitch-adjustable. Although this unit has tons more options than my Ares digital, the navigation through the menus are a bit more intuitive. Also cheaper than my Ares - well worth the price. A must have for any helmet that can receive a digital alitimeter.

Great audible! This is a great audible altimeter for those wanting to do more in the skies without having to solely rely on a visual altimeter. Easy to use and has a lot of flexible options to create the desired settings for freefly, swooping, etc.
