The new Phantom XV full face helmet by Square One.
Reduce or eliminate lens fogging with the new Phantom XV full face helmet!
The Phantom XV boasts the same great features of the Phantom X, PLUS the Phantom XV has integrated a patent-pending anti-fog ventilation system which allows a small stream of air to enter the helmet and channels this airstream across the inside surface of the lens. This continuous airflow (or airstream) will greatly reduce and virtually eliminate most fogging problems in most conditions.
Additional features include:
- 2MM Thick Polycarbonate Lens
- Offers superior protection
- Opens and closes with ease
- Anti-fog coated
- Anti-scratch coated
- Easy to clean
- Easy Change Lens System:
- Change your lens in 30 seconds!
- No tools required
- No loose parts
- No need for super-human strength
- Intelligent Engineering:
- Widest field of vision
- Dual lens locks (1 on each side)
- Secure audible altimeter pocket
- Proven tightening system with adjustable snap
The Phantom XV is the next generation skydiving helmet developed with the primary purpose of solving all of the problems inherent in the most popular full-face helmets currently on the market. A state-of-the-art design has resulted in a safer, more functional and more user-friendly skydiving helmet already favored by professional and recreational skydivers alike.
A knee to the face is no problem for the Phantom XV lens due its thickness as well as shape that keeps it away from the face. The lens is extremely easy to open and can be removed/installed in 20 seconds. The ease of removal makes it easy to wash and the lens can be aired dry or you can blot it dry using a paper towel or cotton cloth.
Skydivers rave on the field of vision of the Phantom XV as well as the nose and mouth area fitting tighter then their current full face helmet. This is designed this way to prevent exhaust breaths from going up the lens, exhaust breaths should go out the hole.
Over it's first 400 jumps with the Phantom XV lens, Team Perris only replaced the lens once. The Phantom X and XV lens lasts much longer than other full-face helmet lenses. Because of the lens shape people with eye glasses can wear the Phantom XV with no problems at all.
The Phantom XV features:
Standard Colors: Gloss Black, Flat Black, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Purple, Red, Yellow and White.
Sizes available include:
- XS (20-21")
- Small (21-22")
- Medium (22-22.5")
- Large (22.5-23")
- XL (22.75-23.5")
- 2XL (23.5-24")
- Note: Sizes Large and XL overlap. Between these two sizes, 50% will fit a L and 50% will fit an XL. if your head is wide, XL will fit better. if your head is narrow, L will fit better. If your head is long from chin to top of the head, XL will fit better. Disclaimer: All heads are shaped differently. This sizing chart is only and guide and will not guarantee a perfect fit.
Extra notes on the Phantom XV after purchase: Adjust the tightening strap and tack it down with a hand or machine stitch. When you tighten the helmet, pull the strap rearwards not forward and downwards (see user manual). The anti-fog cloths sent with the Phantom XV work well, but you have to polish the inside of the lens for about 3 or 4 minutes (not like the instructions say). If you put a couple of drops of water on the anti fog cloth it works 10X better and faster.

Ok Helmet; Good if you can find a used deal online; Not worth buying newBought as my first helmet for tunnel and skydiving use. Fit runs a little tight so I recommend going a size up. The field of view isn't very wide on these, you'll feel like you have tunnel vision (no pun intended). The vents in the chin are great for anti-fog airflow and keeping your face cool during freefall. The visor opens only if you are able to hit both small buttons and lift up. No hard when you're not wearing gloves, but rather difficult when you're wearing gloves during the cold months. Be great is they designed the visor to work by hitting just one of the buttons to release the catch. One other disadvantage of the helemt is that the chin vent covers your mouth so that others cannot read your lips. This makes communication in the plane and tunnel more difficult. Priced high for what it is. In hindsight I'd spend a few more dollars and get a G3 or Aero to start.
Great helmet for the Price.Great helmet, I’m soo happy with it, size is good.
Great Product overallI love my Phatom xv!
It fits great, it’s easy to open the visor, it doesn’t fog up, and it has protected me from a bad faceplanting after having to do an amergency landing in a cornfield.
The only two things I don’t like about it is the fact that it’s hard to communicate with it without having to hold the mouth part down so my lips are visible AND the tightening strap can be a little pain the butt when you aren’t used to it.
Oh, you think the darkness is your ally? Bane helmet = Best helmetI am very satisfied with how comfortable this helmet is! The visor doesn't have as big of a Field of View meaning that if you or your partner tend to lip read, that's impossible with this helmet. The famous Cookie has a bigger FOV but the Phantom XV helmet has zero issues with fog. Flipping the visor up is also extremely simple and doesn't require any extra input. I also enjoy looking like Bane while i jump hahah!
buy and have funPersonally, I tend to buy the quality but not so popular accessories. So I got my self a Phantom XV few weeks back and put some jumps on it and not G3 like the rest. It feels great, like a glove although when I first wore it was slightly tight (I got XL which according to the chart size I am mid range for). In the air it felt great. Vision was great and most important; I was able to push visor up with gloves while flying my canopy. Got it few weeks back and put some jumps on it. The price was a big bonus but it was recently raised so you know maybe more inclined to buy G3 as most do. Last, could not tell Phantom X from Xv for the life of me…
Awesome !Just received it. Fits perfectly, looks awesome and the price is just so nice for a full face helmet.
The visor is very easy to open and to close. Just can't wait to test it in real situation !
Great HelmetFits perfect, good price, excellent visibility, there is no foggy problems. Easy to close and opening the visor.
Good helmet forI think this is a good helmet for the money. I do wish there was a little more room in the front of the helmet, because a beard can be uncomfortable with this helmet. Other than that I think this is a good helmet at a good price. I would recommend it to someone looking for a full face helmet on a budget.
Several issues with the design.Overall, I thought the quality and durability were good. The visibility is great, and the ventilation is, too. However, I had a couple of issues with this helmet, and eventually offloaded it and went with the Cookie G3, instead. Here were the things I didn't like about it: 1) The visor latch buttons are very difficult to locate and use, especially if you have gloves on; 2) My DZ requires you to attach your helmet to your harness chest strap when boarding the plane, and while on the plane below 10,000 ft. -- this is virtually impossible with the strap system on this helmet. And, even if you can manage to get the helmet strap through the chest strap on your harness and snap it back to the helmet, by virtue of the position it is in, the snap just pops right off. I never could get this arrangement to work, so I had to carry along a velcro strap to run through the helmet, via the visor opening, just to carry it according to our rules -- BIG pain in the butt; 3) the altimeter pocket is only on the left ear, and I have hearing issues in that ear, so it was a big problem for me -- even on the LOUD setting, I had trouble hearing it. If these things are not an issue for you, then this may just be a fine helmet for you. As for me, it just didn't work.
Great helmetHave been enjoying this helmet and its predecessor for a few years now
Perfect vision, comfort
