The ChutingStar Gear Bag for skydivers!

The ChutingStar Gear Bag was developed after Dakine stopped making the popular Cargo Pack Gear Bag, and has been further improved upon and redesigned! It is modeled after that popular gear bag, but we've added extra features and reinforcements making it one of the best gear bags in the industry.

Now included is a deeper top zipper pocket that will fit all standard size logbooks, including all versions of the ChutingStar StarLogs. We've also added extra stitching reinforcements on all straps to increase the strength and durability of the gear bag.

Our ChutingStar Skydiving Gear Bag has two large compartments. The compartment in back is for your rig and the front compartment has ample room for your skydiving gear accessories and jumpsuits. Many people even put their helmet inside the back or front compartment as well.

This large gear bag has side straps to keep the rig or accessories from hanging low off your back by compressing the contents to the backpack straps. There is a top, center zipper pocket for your logbook, wallet. phone, glasses or other similar items accessible from the outside. Carry handles are located on the top, side and bottom front. Hideaway padded shoulder straps and a small chest strap are included. Your luggage tag or business card can be stored in the frosted see-thru pocket on the back.

Made with large-tooth zippers and 900D Polyester + PVC materials.

ChutingStar's Gear Bag is manufactured in a size of 24" x 16" x 13". It will fit most rigs up to a canopy size of 230 with plenty of extra room for multiple jumpsuits and accessories.

Available in black only with ChutingStar logos and zipper tags.

I snagged this gear bag when it was on sale - I didn’t expect much since it was less than $50 but it’s pretty impressive. The top pocket did rip open the 2nd or 3rd time I used it but other than that, it’s great. I was able to fit my rig in the back pocket (230 main and 220 reserve) and in the front pocket I fit my G4 helmet, 2 jump suits and all the other normal accessories such as altimeter, log book, gloves, etc. Definitely would recommend to anyone. The zipper at the top breaking is the only negative I have.

Fantastic gear bag!!!! Got room for everything: rig, jumpsuit, helmet, shoes, GoPro or other camera's set up case. After I filled up with all my gear I still have room for more. Shoulder straps would be improved with a little padding, but beside that it's a beautiful gear bag with a flashing CS logo to show people that you are not doing laundry....but something a little bit cooler.

What an amazing gear bag. Fits my rig perfectly with room to spare. The front pouch is huge as well and can hold my jumpsuit, helmet, altimeter and just about anything else I want to throw in it. Great for storage as well to keep the dust and light off of your rig. Would highly recommend this bag as it is one of the cheaper ones on the market but doesn't skimp on quality.

Got this on sale for $45 and it's fantastic! It fits everything I have: rig, 2 jumpsuits, helmet, altimeter, logbook and all the bits & bobs. It has a large opening for the rig, a large opening on the back for the jumpsuits and helmet, and a small opening accesible via the top for the logbook and altimeter. It has strong zips and straps, very good interior quality and looks like it'll really last!

Only thing downside is that the shoulder straps don't have any padding and so are a tiny bit uncomfortable once everything is piled in. Despite that, I fully expect to use this when travelling overseas and carrying it from my car to the DZ!

This is my second chutingstar bag. The resent one I got feels smaller which it great. My rig fits perfectly in the main compartment and it has a large top compartment for all your skydiving gear. It makes it easy to carry all the things you need to have a great time jumping!

Received this bag as a gift. So far I love it. Seems sturdy and nice zippers. I am lazy sometimes after a jump and will just throw my chute in the bag with my container and I am never worried about it. Finally I’m calling this bag cat proof! I have three cats which like to scratch things. They have gotten to my bag but I know my rig is well protected in there.

Just used this bag for my first round trip flight traveling with a rig. Worked like a charm. Packed up my rig nice & tight in the main compartment and locked down the straps, threw the shoulder straps on and left for the airport. Wore very similar to a large backpack, and fit nicely in the overhead bin. It also survived TSA inspections at both airports, but they were gentle. One of the zipper pull tabs popped off, but it was easily put back on. Also used it to transport my gear back and forth from the hotel to the dz for four days straight, and it carried everything I stuffed into it. I’m confident using this rig bag again.

Great bag! Perfect compartment for your rig and another large pocket for, well, everything else, helmet, jumpsuit, logbook, and much more! There's a small pocket for altimeters or your wallet as well.
I have found that this bag works great for getting everything to and from the DZ and even on commercial flights.
You can even stuff your main in the second compartment if you don't feel like packing at the end of the day! And with the shoulder straps, it can be worn very easily as a backpack.
The durability, well that is a little lacking. The material next to the zipper in the small pocket has ripped all the way across so everything falls out of that into the second compartment. It comes with 4 straps on the side to keep everything tight in the bag, well 3 of the 4 of them have ripped off at various times (mostly if you check the bag at the airport). My brother's bag has the same problem as well.
Overall, I would recommend the bag! It could just use a little upgrading on some of these items that seem to be lacking in their durability. Once I do some rigger training I'll sew it back like new!

    Alright, where do I start?

This bag is a beast. I bought it back in 2011 or 2012. I am sure most people to transport it dropzone to dropzone. That's great. Very durable. I have had this bag in 12 different countries and used it as carry on with rig and laptop inside.

I have used this for gear, rigs, suits, beer, towels, clothes, and groceries. Yup. Groceries. This bad mother fucker keeps shit cold. The inside lining is actually similar to the inside of a lunch box so it can keep that rotisserie chicken warm (chuck for my Ozzie Brothers from down under) or your beer cold. Don't try both at the same time. Physics, math or biology makes both luke warm after a short period of time.

The only downside is that, in my case, the space on the zippers for the rubber tabs are a tiny bit too far apart and the tabs can come off sporadically. I just put them back on like its no big deal and this didn't start happening until a year or so after using it so it's probably my fault. Too many Dumbbell curls. Strength getting away from me. Regardless, after only about 4000 zip ups the rubber tabs will lose their sweet Chuting Star logo colour and start to crack. I need one to be replaced from usage and one for losing it. After about 4 years the interior is starting to come apart and slowly flake off in pieces.

Wicked gear bag, not a SINGLE loose thread after 4-5 years. Can easily fit a beginner big rig and all accessories to start because this badass can extend open or squeeze up tight. Honestly you could probably fit quite a few babies inside of it. 5-6 at least. Great for room. The straps can be hidden as well.

Brilliant and resilient. I'll likely get another once this baby ends up turning to dust.
