Rigger Seal Press & Dies. This seal press is used by riggers to compress a unique number/letter identifier onto safety-tie thread around the reserve closing pin.

This is a high-quality seal press that came to our attention thanks to a thorough search and review by Senior Rigger Nick Constantine out of Washington state. Recent ChutingStar riggers have chosen this seal press and have been very impressed with the attention to detail on the die as well as the quality of workmanship of the press.

This order includes the seal press (which we keep in stock at ChutingStar), plus one die with your unique 3 letter/number identifier (which is engraved off-site with a CNC machine/software).

Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery due to the die engraving. Note your seal symbol in the text box.

Engraving of the 2nd die with the seal symbol is $25 extra. Custom artwork on the 2nd Symbol is $100 extra.

Nylon B Thread, 16 oz. Spool

16 oz. Spool of Bonded Nylon B Thread manufactured by American & Efird, Inc.

This is a large 1-pound spool textile 45 B thread. New, plastic-wrapped, from manufacturer.

This is the same nylon thread used by many canopy manufacturers for bartacks on linesets. Use in industrial bartack sewing machines for repairs and manufacturing.

Rigger Closing Hook

The Rigger Closing Hook is the "signature" closing device used at ChutingStar.

This is a great hand tool for closing reserve container flaps. The pullup cord is locked through the bottom of the hook as you move the temp pin from one flap to the next. It also works well on closing tight main containers. The "Hook" was originally designed by Georgia skydiver, rigger and instructor, Perry Thibedeau.

The Rigger Closing Hook is made of machined aluminum that is tumbled and polished. Available in two thicknesses: 3/8" and 5/16". The 5/16" thick version is engraved with the ChutingStar logo.

ChutingStar Aluminum Packing Paddle

This ChutingStar Aluminum Packing Paddle is must-have for riggers during packing and closing.

ChutingStar riggers use two of these 15.5" paddles for making clean s-folds on every reserve pack job. The paddles also are used for containing/hiding pilot chute fabric during closing and for seating the freebag ear covers once the pack job is closed.

These Aluminum Packing Paddles are 15.5" X 1.25" X 1/4" thick. The packing paddles are engraved with the ChutingStar logo.

Tapered Aluminum Packing Paddle

This Tapered Aluminum Packing Paddle is must-have for riggers during packing and closing.

ChutingStar riggers use one of these 9.5" paddles for closing the reserve container, stowing fabric or making the pack job neater on every reserve pack job. The paddle can be used for seating the freebag ear covers once the pack job is closed.

This is the Micro Power Tool, which can be combined with a Power Tool Replacement Cord to make a main container closing tool.

This 5-Pound Shotbag is a must for packing reserves. Made of 2" red tubular nylon webbing and lead shot.

ChutingStar riggers usually use 3 of these for holding the initial square canopy folds in place and keeping the air out before placing the canopy into the freebag. For round canopies, riggers use 6-10.

Rigger Closing Plate

Rigger Closing Plate.

Many riggers find a closing plate a key tool in compressing the reserve pack job and pinning the closing loop.

These closing plates are made of heavy aluminum. Each plate has a "V" notch makes it easy to pin the loop. Kneel on plate using direct compressing to aid in closing one pin reserve. Or use the plate with a positive leverage device or other closing tool.

Available in two lengths: 4" and 12". Select length and quantity above.
