The OPTIMA™ II with Visual Warning Port is an audible altimeter with freefall alerts, canopy descent warnings and landing guide tones. The canopy descent warnings and landing guide tones allow you to preset warning altitudes for use under canopy and, if desired, to provide timing beeps to help you track your landing pattern.
The Optima II with Visual Warning Port can be used to connect the HypEye D Pro w/Expansion Kit or L&B's flashing LED/LCD visual warning systems. This version of the Optima II is not water-resistant with the visual warning port option. The visual warning port OPTIMA II does not include the actual HypEye D Pro/Expansion Kit and/or L&B LED/LCD lights. The lights can be ordered separately from ChutingStar.
For extra protection of your Optima II such as intentional water landings or pond swoopers, add the Protektor case to your order. It is a two-piece, clam-shell design that keeps the water out of your Optima and still allows full functionality of the unit and visibility of the screen interface. A spare battery set can also be added.

First off, let me just say this product is an all around fantastic product. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it all 5 stars is the price, for the additional $50 (about) you'll spend, it'd be nice if L&B included the LED, other than that, I can't say enough good things about this thing.Price Durability Quality
Between a nice wrist altimeter, this audible and the visual LED, it really is almost impossible to lose altitude awareness even on that wicked 6-way hybrid. Having the ability to throw a bright flashing LED in your face when its time to break off is an advantage others don't offer. The canopy alarms are also fantastic, whether your a swooper or just a newbie trying to work on your patterns and accuracy, they've helped me a ton and are VERY accurate!
I bought this with the 25mm LED and it worked fantastic but I sadly lost my helmet and all in freefall, and was unable to find it until just the other weekend, almost a year later, and the entire system still works fine! full battery and all! Durability should get 10 stars after surviving a 10,000 foot fall and a years worth of michigan weather, rain and snow included.
If you want to have to only buy one audible, go with the one that has proven it wont go down without a hell of a fight! (Posted on 4/20/12)
