RAWA's helmets are hands down the most comfortable in the skydiving industry. The Brazilian-based company manufactures the Rawa Image.
This is an open-faced helmet with a chin-cup and two internal audible altimeter pockets. The RAWA Image comes with a helmet bag. These helmets are a perfect first helmet for any skydiver, especially if you think you may want to add a camera box in the future. The RAWA Image has a flat top and a smooth left side for RAWA camera box additions. Please select a color and size when ordering.
The RAWA Image helmet has a padded/fabric forehead. The angle of the flattop of the Image is at a "neutral angle," which allows a side-box setup to be attached straight-on (most common for freeflying) or slightly tipped up (which works better for beginning belly cameraflyers).
ChutingStar keeps all sizes in gloss black and flat black in stock of the Rawa Image. In-stock colors/sizes will be shipped immediately. If the color/size you order is not in stock, turnaround time is approximately 5 weeks.
RAWA sizing: XSmall, less than 21.5", Small, 21.5 inches; Medium, 22-22.5 inches; Large, 23-23.5 inches; XLarge 23.75-24 inches; XXLarge, more than 24 inches. Note: Head measurements in-between RAWA size measurements should take the larger size. Additional colors are available on request at no extra charge. Turnaround time on these additional colors is 5 weeks. -

The Vision helmet is an update to RAWA's Image helmet, as the company lowered the helmet shell in the forehead area for more head protection. The Vision flattop is a straight-on angle and matches well with a similarly attached side camerabox. The Vision can be setup with the straight-on camera box angle, which better suits freeflyers or more experienced belly cameraflyers.
ChutingStar keeps all sizes in a few colors in stock of the Rawa Vision. In-stock colors/sizes will be shipped immediately. If the color/size you order is not in stock, turnaround time is approximately 5 weeks.

Design features of the NVertigo-V include: dual interior audible pockets, lower forehead coverage for added protection and easier routing of camera indicator lights and ring sights, two flat sides and a flat top platform, and a removable liner made of high impact foam, which allows for easy camera setup. This helmet comes standard with a chin strap and the Sky Cup 2 (to be installed). -

The OPTIK also features a small lip on the back side of the side camera mounting platform to help deflect "Riser-Strike" and to help prevent the accidental loss of your camera. The sides of the helmet give you the ability to put 1 or 2 audible altimeters on the inside not have to worry about them sailing off in freefall.
The OPTIK comes standard with Boneheads's Thermal-Fit liner and ratcheted chin-cup. The cutaway system is optional and can be selected.
Whether you mount your camera on the top or the side or both, the OPTIK is a great camera helmet regardless of what flying position you are in.
Standard color is a glossy carbon fiber finish. Solid color painting of the helmet from Bonehead is available for $25 extra in colors of blue, teal, purple, navy blue, yellow, green, white, silver, black or red. The Optik is available in sizes of small (21.75"-22.5"), medium (22.5"-22.75"), large (22.75"-23.25"), x-large (23.25"-23.75") and xx-large (23.75" and above). Please indicate size and note color, if anything other than carbon fiber.
