Airtec's CYPRES 2 unit is today’s industry standard for AADs. CYPRES units have been commercially available the longest of the three major sport skydiving AAD products.
Each new CYPRES 2 now includes a log book and pullup cord!
CYPRES 2 units have a lifetime of 12.5 years with an unlimited manufacturer guarantee for repairs, if needed. The units are water resistant for a duration of 24 hours at a maximum of 1.5 meters deep. The CYPRES 2 also has a jump counter and does not require a battery change.
The CYPRES 2 is required to undergo 4-year and 8-year maintenance checks. For the required maintenance, the units must be shipped to SSK Industries in Ohio or Airtec in Germay, and are tested/updated for a minimum of two weeks for $160 plus shipping costs.
The CYPRES 2 unit is available in four different modes, but the modes (Speed, Expert, Student and Tandem) can not be changed by the user. The modes can be changed at the factory at any time free of charge.
Riggers can replace the CYPRES 2 cutter as well as the water filter on the units. An $85 credit is available by trading-in an expired original CYPRES. Note: To receive the $85 credit with ChutingStar, send in your expired Cypres unit with a copy of your receipt after purchasing a new Cypres2 from ChutingStar. Once we receive your expired unit, the $85 will be refunded to you.
New CYPRES 2 units are always in stock at ChutingStar! Our CYPRES 2 units always have a recent date of manufacture as we get new shipments on a monthly basis direct from Airtec in Germany.
The original CYPRES is no longer manufactured, but is still supported for maintenance, service and parts. The CYPRES 2 is the company’s current product.
