The MXV Camera Helmet from Cookie Composites is an extremely light-weight and comfortable helmet. The MXV has a dual audible altimeter pocket along with a flat top and side for camera mountings.

Standard setup with this helmet is the Force Chincup. For those who want a cutaway system Cookie has an available option of one of the best integrated cutaway systems on the market. (This configuration can be ordered through our Build Your Own helmet section.)

The MXV is made of carbon fiber with multiple shell sizes to keep the camera as close to your head as possible.

Carbon fiber finish is standard. Other colors/paint are available for an extra $40. Any color you can supply a sample of is available from Cookie. Turnaround time on a painted MXV helmet has a 2-week turnaround time.

Available sizes include: xsmall (20.5-20.75"), small(20.75-21.5"), medium(21.5-22"), large(22-22.5"), xlarge(22.5-23.5") and xxlarge (23.5-24.25").

ChutingStar stocks all sizes of the MXV in carbon fiber, as well as all Cookie accessories, for immediate shipment.

I have six flights on this helmet at present. It fit just like a glove from the get-go, it's light, and it's unobtrusive. The guys and gals at Chuting Star did a bang up job of putting it together, and I have no complaints as of yet.
However, the price is steep, at best, and I would have liked to have seen a couple of pull up cords in the shipping box after dropping the large change charged for this bad boy. (Posted on 8/5/10)
