G3

The G3 helmet is the latest release from Cookie Composites of its full-face helmet. It is a result of significant refinements to the G2 and Gas helmets.

The G3 features the original VMech Visor Locking System that works unlike any other in the industry. The system makes for easy opening and positive locking of the helmet visor. The visor is 2mm polycarbonate and features a complex curved design for extra strength, unsurpassed field of view and an anti-fog coating. The helmet's cinching system is simple and secure, adjustment can be made to customize the helmet fit and once locked down just throw the helmet on and jump.

The G3 helmet features a unique choice of replaceable Mouth Pieces depending on your needs. The Slim Mouth Piece is used for jumpers who require or prefer the mouth to be visible in freefall. This option is ideal for instructors or tunnel use. The second is a Contoured Mouth Piece used to direct your breath through the front vent of the helmet. This option is ideal for jumpers in humid of fogging conditions. Note that the helmet ships with both Mouth Pieces as standard.

The G3 Helmet comes standard with a clear visor. The tinted visor can be added to your ordered and swapped out with a Phillips-Head screwdriver.

The new High Impact ABS helmet shell makes our already durable helmet almost indestructible. The G3 also incorporates d3o in the helmet liner. The helmet is available in 6 sizes and 11 different colors from stock.

The G3 comes standard with Black ABS locking plates as well as a black drawstring helmet bag.

Customize your G3 with aluminum visor locking plates in a variety of colors. A separate set of locking plates anodized in your color choice can be added above. All colors of aluminum plates are in stock with Cookie engraving.

Further customization with a name up to 20 letters along the bottom of a set of aluminum visor locking plates is available for $35 (includes plates and text engraving along bottom of plate). Turnaround time is 2-4 weeks.

Logo or large engraving on the center of a set of aluminum locking plates is available for $92 (includes setup, engraving and the aluminum plates). The file for the custom engraving should be e-mailed to gear@chutingstar.com. The file size needs to be greater than 250kb to ensure engraving quality. Vector based formats like Abobe Illustrator or Corel Draw work out the best, per Cookie. Converting .jpgs to a vector format may change the image depending on the quality. All engraving will be white in color with varying shading based on the side plate color. Turnaround time logo laser engraving on the locking plates is 2-4 weeks.

The Cookie ContourHD Rail Mount can be added to the side of the G3 ABS or Aluminum Visor Locking Plate to attach a Contour camera.

In close consultation with world champion teams such as Arizona Airspeed and Arizona Arsenal, Cookie designed and tested the G3 in environments encountered by professional skydiving teams.

The d3o liner in the G3 helmet is a specially engineered material made with intelligent molecules. They flow with you as you move but on shock lock together to absorb the impact energy. Traditional skydiving helmet liners are made from a range of material like PE and EVA with an exterior comfort covering. While these materials are fantastic for thermo forming and comfort, its ability to transmit impact forces is limiting. The d3o material surpasses other materials in its ability to transmit forces.

The G3 is available in six different helmet sizes through padding installed in two shell sizes creating the most comfortable fitting helmet on the market. Using a tape measure please determine the circumference of head to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. Do this by placing the tape measure around the widest part of your head which will be above the eye brows and ears. Available sizes include: xsmall (51-52 cm or 20-20.5 in), small (52-53 cm or 20.5-20.75 in), medium (53-55 cm or 20.75-21.5 in), large (55-57 cm or 21.5-22.25 in), xlarge (57-59 cm or 22.25-23 in) and xxlarge (59-61 cm or 23-24 in).
