The ALTITRACK™ is a digital hand altimeter & electronic logbook with analog display. This is the ultimate all-in-one visual altimeter computer.
This visual altimeter records your jump information from exit to landing, has the ability to download jump information to a computer, has an ergonomic fit, is both shock and water resistant and has upgradeable software. The ALTITRACK™ has a backlight for night jumping that can remain on for several hours. It stores up to 15 minutes of data for each jump with a total of 6.5 hours recording and accumulates up to 19,999 jumps.
The ALTITRACK™ is compatible with the new Jump-Track 3.0 for download of jump data to a PC via USB (Jump-Track 3.0™ and PC interface sold separately). It is firmware upgradeable (using Jump-Track 3.0™ and USB connection). The ALTITRACK™ has a simulator for student altitude awareness training. It can replay of any jump stored in the logbook with true pointer movement and readout of speeds, altitudes, etc.
Includes a long lasting ½ AA lithium battery. Available in black or platinum case (select below). The manufacturer, Larsen & Brusgaard, is known worldwide for their high-quality products and generous customer service if any problems arise.
The Altitrack is always in stock at ChutingStar! We carry the ALTITRACK in feet (up to 21,000 ft.) and meters (up to 6000 m). Select the color and dial measurement below.
There are two available options for expanded download and logging features:
- Jump-Track 3.0 software with USB-track for Altitrack. The Jump-Track includes a Data-Track hardware interface unit that transfers jump information via an optical link. The Jump-Track software facilitates accurate record keeping of an individual's skydives in a user-friendly Windows environment.
- The Paralog Software combined with the Altitrack Hardware Connection is the second option. You will need the Altitrack Harware connection for connecting the Altitrack to your computer and then the Paralog Software for the download features. Paralog supports a variety of platforms: Windows, OSX and Linux are currently supported with supplemental applications available for PocketPC and Palm OS.
Both options available separately through ChutingStar.com.
A spare battery can also be added with your order.
The Altitrack reads the altitude accurately (+/- 100 ft) up to 21,000 ft. or 6000 m.

- Turning on the backlight is impossible Review by Jose
-
This is a very nice altimeter once you figure out how to operate it. For me the biggest issue is my inability to turn on the backlight. The manual is not very clear on this. Seeked help from Chutingstar, and were helpful in giving me few extra steps. Still no luck on getting the backlight on. This should a one simple press operation, or a light switch.Price Durability Quality
ChutingStar Note: To turn on back light, press right front button and release. Press and hold right front button when access light comes on. Access light will go off. When access light comes back on, release button. You can now push right front button to turn on or off back light. Not the easiest operation, but with some practice you can get the hang of it. We'll put a ChutingStar video tutorial up on this soon. (Posted on 4/26/11)
