The Altimaster Galaxy is the industry standard for visual analog altimeters.
This altimeter by Alti-2 includes a wrist strap with finger-loop. The altimeter features a field-replaceable screw-on lens.
The large 2" dial face is surrounded by a 1" thick aluminum casing. The galaxy has an altitude range of 18,000 feet MSL, marked in 250 foot increments. The face of the galaxy is highlighted with a yellow caution and red warning arc that starts at 3,000 feet.
The face of the Altimaster Galaxy is available with a white-face background or a glow-face background ($5 extra). The white face is a bright white background that does not glow in the dark. The glow face is phosphorescent and provides a background glow to assist in low light conditions. The glow lasts over 2 hours in complete darkness.

This is a great altimeter and pretty much the industry standard. It's great to have a digital audible altimeter as well as an analog wrist mount altimeter so you always know where you are and have a "fail safe" measure. (Posted on 5/22/10)Quality Price Durability
