CYPRES 2 units have a lifetime of 12.5 years with an unlimited manufacturer guarantee for repairs, if needed. The units are water resistant for a duration of 24 hours at a maximum of 1.5 meters deep. The CYPRES 2 also has a jump counter and does not require a battery change. -
Vigil II

The Vigil unit has a lifetime of 20 years. The multi-mode unit can be switched from Pro to Student to Tandem by the user. The Vigil II battery is good for at least 5 years or 2000 jumps. The manufacturer requires the battery to be replaced every 10 years, but recommends replacement of the battery every 5 years. There is no required maintenance on the Vigil II unit unless an error code is displayed during the startup. The control unit, cutter and battery are all field-replaceable. The Vigil II is waterproof. -

Aviacom's Argus is the latest AAD in production for skydivers. The Argus is the first AAD to have a swoop mode that inactivates the cutter after the initial canopy deployment. It is also the first unit to have a “over-the-counter” lithium batteries as the power source. The Argus is a multi-mode AAD, which allows the user to set the unit to Swoop, Standard, Student or Tandem and change that setting at anytime. The Argus is the smallest and most compact unit available.

Cypres Replacement Battery
$80.00The original Cypres unit has a field-replaceable power supply. The original Cypres battery consists of two batteries and a wire connector supplied from Airtec. This replaceable power supply can be used for any original Cypres unit and must be replaced every two years, 500 jumps or when the unit fails to turn on.

$99.00Aviacom released this ruggedized display upgrade kit in June 2009 following feedback from student and military operations that subject the display to more abuse than traditional sport jumpers. Units manufactured after January 2010 are manufactured with this kit installed, but any Argus units manufactured prior can purchase this retrofit kit to protect the Argus display.
