- ChutingStar ships items in stock within one business day. Shipping of custom or out-of-stock items is made within one business day of receipt of items from the manufacturer. You will be notified within one business day if an item is out-of-stock along with an estimated turnaround time. USPS picks up at noon every day and UPS picks up at 4 p.m. Orders in stock that are received 2 hours before pickup time will ship the same day.
ChutingStar's preferred domestic shipping company is UPS. ChutingStar's preferred international shipping company is UPS. DHL, USPS and FedEx can be requested.
All items will be insured for replacement value and be sufficiently packaged. Please immediately report a claim to the carrier and ChutingStar if any damage occurs during shipment. - Shipping charges do not include any local duties or taxes collected in some countries. Those fees are payable upon delivery to the carrier and vary widely.
Of note for Canadian customers selecting UPS: UPS Canada Standard rates include pickup and door-to-door delivery, but not customs clearance or brokerage charges. The brokerage charges, together with duties and taxes applicable to any shipment, will be billed directly to the receiver by UPS upon delivery. Canadian customers can avoid the clearance/brokerage charges if they "self-clear" the package through the local Customs office. We have been told the process is as such: At first attempted delivery by UPS, tell driver you want to self-clear. UPS returns package back to UPS warehouse. You go to the UPS warehouse and ask for the package paperwork. Take the paperwork from UPS and your invoice/receipt from ChutingStar to Customs office. Pay taxes. Customs issues receipt/paperwork. Take that back to UPS, and sign for the package without paying UPS clearance and brokerage fees. Rates for any UPS Air service into Canada do include clearance/brokerage charges; however, any duties and taxes will be billed directly to the receiver by UPS upon delivery.
Quoted shipping days from carrier and ChutingStar does not include the day the order ships, weekends, holidays, time in customs and delays by carrier. Quoted shipping days does not start for out-of-stock or custom orders until the items arrive from the manufacturer and then ship from ChutingStar.
