The X-Shut advantage is that you can use it for all kinds of cameras.
This mount has comfortable and adjustable "one-size-fits-all" straps. The X-Shut Camera Handmount includes an emergency cut away and infinitiely adjustable angles.
It can be used with the GoPro, Drift, Contour, Sony Action Cam, Garmin VIRB or CX-series Sony cameras. All cameras are attached to the X-Shut Handcam Mount through the separately-available inserts.

- For any GoPro in a Pivot Pad Housing, the X-Shut Pivot Pad Housing Adapter & X-Shut Flat Mount Insert is needed to connect to the X-Shut Handmount.
- For any GoPro in a Lightweight X Housing, the X-Shut Pivot Pad Housing Adapter & X-Shut Flat Mount Insert is needed to connect to the X-Shut Handmount.
- For the Drift, Garmin VIRB or Sony Action Cam cameras (or a GoPro with a Tripod Adapter), the X-Shut Screw Mount is needed to connect these cameras or camera housings to the X-Shut Handmount.
- For the Contour cameras, the X-Shut Contour Adapter & X-Shut Flat Mount Insert is needed to connect the Contour to the X-Shut Handmount.
UPT recently published this advisory on the use of UPT tandem equipment when using hand-mounted cameras. As per their advisory, the X-Shut handcam mount includes a cutaway that is easily accessible.
