11/01/2006: "Write-in and Elect Mike Gruwell for USPA Southeast Regional Director"
This is an election year for the Board of Directors of the United States Parachute Association. I would like to represent the Southeast Region (Florida and Georgia) by being elected as the Southeast Regional Director. The former Regional Director for the Southeast, Richard Schachner, has decided not to run again, and no one in the region met the deadline to be on the official ballot. So the new Southeast Regional Director will have to be elected by write-in votes. Why Mike Gruwell?
Since 1995, I have been a part of the skydiving scene in the Southeast region. My interest in 4-way formation skydiving competitions and canopy swooping has kept me involved with area drop zones. Due to the success of my parachute rigging business, I have come to know and serve hundreds of skydivers in Florida and Georgia. I would like to be the new Southeast Regional Director and your area link to the United States Parachute Association.
